Delete test orders in magento 1.5.x

Before getting a magento 1.5.x site from development to live you should first remove the test orders. To do that, just run the following script in your mysql admin.

SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS=0;

TRUNCATE `sales_flat_order`;
TRUNCATE `sales_flat_order_address`;

  1. Many thanks, this worked perfectly once I remebered to add my prefix to each command 🙂 Many thanks!!!

  2. If you want to delete credit memo, use the following script:

    TRUNCATE `sales_flat_creditmemo`;
    ALTER TABLE `sales_flat_creditmemo` AUTO_INCREMENT=1;
    TRUNCATE `sales_flat_creditmemo_comment`;
    ALTER TABLE `sales_flat_creditmemo_comment` AUTO_INCREMENT=1;
    TRUNCATE `sales_flat_creditmemo_grid`;
    ALTER TABLE `sales_flat_creditmemo_grid` AUTO_INCREMENT=1;
    TRUNCATE `sales_flat_creditmemo_item`;
    ALTER TABLE `sales_flat_creditmemo_item` AUTO_INCREMENT=1;

    I we don’t delete credit memos and only orders then it will cause integrity constraint violation.

  3. Just to let you know, the ALTER TABLE commands aren’t required, since TRUNCATE automatically resets any auto increment IDs.
